Shijie - PDS-S246 - Plum Burst - Stainless fret

The PDS-S246 model is a two-piece Mahogany body, maple capped guitar which features a super fast, slim maple neck with a rosewood 12” radius fret board,  featuring perfectly seated USA medium jumbo stainless steel frets.  These are paired with Seymour Duncan pickups (JB / 59 set) and the superb Gotoh 510T trem. The guitar also boasts a 24.6-inch scale length neck. The chambering on the body reduces the overall weight, but the guitar retains its punch delivering incredible sustain with a modern tone perfect for many different styles and capable of producing fast, fluid-sounding lead lines. A best of both worlds guitar that’s destined to be a classic.

About Riboloff T-DA Smart Tone pot - coil splitting technology

The Shijie PDS S246 model guitar is equipped with the Riboloff dual-element 11 detent Tone Control. This tone control offers extra bright tone not normally available with just a twist of the tone knob. When the tone knob is turned full up to last detent, this knob position splits the coils on both humbuckers. This full up tone knob position also by-passes the tone circuit making this position even brighter.
When rotating the knob 1 detent down towards 0 both pickups return to full humbucking mode. The tone circuit is also engaged. Rotating the knob further towards 0 one detent at a time you can notice the tone getting darker as expected with normal passive guitar tone controls.
The pickup selector works as a normal 3-way pickup selector, whether in humbucker or single-coil mode. When the pickup selector selects both single coils to be engaged, they are hum-cancelling in this position.
